Descrição do curso: 
The focus of the major will be to ensure that students understand the criminal justice system in the United States as it is related to class structure, race, ethnicity, and gender so that they will develop a more person-centered understanding of crime and law enforcement. Counseling skills, coupled with an understanding of individuals’ behavior within families and groups in society, will ensure that students, as leaders in the community and as professionals, are prepared for respectful and effective interaction with citizens.

Albertus Magnus College evaluates transcripts and other academic credentials of students from foreign countries in accordance with the standard educational program of the country from which the applicant comes. Applicants whose first language is not English or who have graduated from non-English speaking high schools must demonstrate to the satisfaction of the College sufficient mastery of English to enable them to perform college level work by submitting scores of the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL).

Students should submit the completed application form along with the non-refundable application fee of $35. They must also submit an official or attested copy of high school mark sheet or high school transcript; official Entrance Test Scores (SAT or ACT); at least one letter of academic recommendation from a high school teacher or college or guidance counselor who is familiar with the applicant’s academic ability and potential; and an official bank statement verifying the ability to pay tuition, room and board, and fees.
